Joomla-Update Recommanded

A new security release of Joomla 1.5 was published in May 2010: Joomla 1.5.18. An update is highly recommanded.

Joomla is one of the world's favourite content management systems. The communitiy of developers is grand. That means: Bugs are fast located and repaired. And there are many fores where you can post your special questions or look for answers and special components.

Not complicated

Joomla is easy to use. The backend - the place where you work to change articles or post news - is easy to understand. So you can concentrate more on the content and do not have to bother, whether it works and what your website looks like.

Content is easy to publish or to save. For example: it is easy to store the article of last christmas and restore ist for the next time - but to make it invisible the rest of the year.

Many Extensions

Joomla has many options to be extended which do not have to be programmed extra: Multi-language pages, newsletter, blogs, shops and news. The new Joomla version is easier to be programmed easy accessible pages.

For websites beeing actualized by few persons, Joomla is definitely the best choice. More complicated are bigger websites with more specialized authors. But there is a solution, too: Drupal.
